Madame Jelacic and her cats

Madamme Jelacic was my highschool flute teacher. She opened the door of music to me. With her age of 60-something, she is still teaching with same enthusiasm and energy, her students are still winning the first prizes on competitions and my  visits to her home are still evoking dear memories of our lessons together and passion and love for music she passed on to me. I must admit, I never enjoyed playing more then those days...

Anyway, she never married or had children, she drives new expensive cars, wears real fur, collects witches (she has a collection of 50 of them) and lives alone with her 5 cats, who, of course, eat the best cat food that can be found on the market at the moment. I asked her if I could take photos of her and her cats. Not because of the cats, (who are definitely worth taking pictures of ;), but because she still belongs to the world that is slowly starting to disappear, the world of old apartments with high ceilings and white double doors, of walls covered with paintings, of women wearing dressing gowns when at home, a world of figurines, dolls, puppets and decorative plates collections, of bird feeder in the garden..

I spent most of the day at her place, took tones of pictures after wich we had the most delicious sarma I had ever tasted, drank a bottle of wine and watched a movie. It was a lovely day.
