Color therapy

My favourite florist in town, Violeta (remember her and her magic flower shop from here?) asked me to make a photo session of her spring and Easter arrangements. To see color and real, fresh flowers was a sight for my sore eyes since this loooong winter doesn't seem to have an end.. Check it out, you will instantly feel better ;)!

Naked truth

Lately I've been thinking how we strive to create false picture of ourselves in our virtual reality that often quite differs from the one in real, flash-and-blood life. It's normal and everyone seems to do it from time to time, because it's so easy. We tend to post pictures and statuses on social networks that are supposed to present us as funny, smart, educated, happy, successful, busy, rich, easy-going person, with refined taste in music, books, movies, art, fashion, whatever, you name it... Of course, we are all that, but I was wondering how we (me in the first place) tend to hide our less appealing side, the one that is sad, angry, depressed, bored, desperate, envious, heartbroken..And it's normal.

I really started to admire people who can expose their truth in front of others without holding back, no matter what form this disclosure comes in. It takes certain amount of bravery. That's why I decided to create another blog with my intimate thoughts and feelings, written in my mother tongue to give me more freedom of expression. I must admit I feel quite naked and exposed, but somehow I felt the urge to do it, to stay true to myself. Of course I will continue to post regularly here on Goose & Cloud, I'll keep it as my superficial bright side ;)

Although I'm doing it for merely therapeutical reasons,  if you ever had any interest to read someone's intimate babeling, in this case, well, mine, you are more than welcome to visit me here.

Why the name "Je t'aime melancolie"? I remembered an old hit of the same name by Mylene Farmer and because I've been trying to deny this part of me for so long. Maybe I'll help it heel this way...

To the people who are searching...

"The fact that I'm fully involved in this situation, creates a link to the people who are searching....I live my life in a way that seems right to me..."

These are the words of Yan, living in Burgundy, France, who left his career in pharmacy only to become a shepperd and cheesemaker, in which he found his fulfillment and life purpose. These kind of stories will never stop inspiring me. Take a look at this beautifly made short film about Yan.
Since I'm obviously and desperately searching for a splash of colour on another snowy, gloomy, supposed-to-be-spring day, I'm grateful people like these exist :) :

Just in case spring EVER comes...

Ok, I will simply pretend I didn't see this when I looked through the window this morning...

Please, do notice this lovely snow swirls on the top of the roof. God.
Just in case spring eventually comes one day,  Dolce & Gabbana have a lovely flamboyant new collection, which soothed my eyes in this grey, snow appocalipse...

Aspire to inspire before you expire

Since everyone here is sharing their links of inspiration, and many of them inspired me as well,  I decided to share some of my most recent inspiration boosters, maybe they do someone good, too ;)

In the flood of street style fashion blogs, this one, by young street fashion photographer YoungJun Koo stands out with it's subtleness, high quality photography and insightfully captured details that distinguish one's style making it unique.

I've been watching quite a lot documentaries lately, but the two of them left deep impression - "The artist is present", about famous artist Marina Abramović, and the other one is "The Woodmans", about famous artistic family and especially their most important member-Francesca Woodman, one of the greatest photographers of 20th century, her work and early tragic end.

I'm again in the phase of listening to music, since there are times when it annoys me. The quirky music choice by French internet radio station Fip, amuses me lately :).

"The Descendants", easy to read, funny and quite well written book, according to wich a film of the same name was made, was a good pastime companion.

And in the end, attending concert by Damir Urban, one of very few Croatian true artists, left me inspired for days after...

And there is always inspiring  nature awakening after long and tiresome period of darkness..I will simply ignore the fact they announced snow for tomorrow.

Have a nice weekend!
